What to Look for When Buying a Used Microwave in Saskatoon
- Decide between countertop (portable, easy) and over-the-range (saves counter space, replaces a range hood).
- Measure your space — most countertop microwaves are 0.7–1.6 cu ft; over-the-range models are typically 1.6–2.2 cu ft.
- Check the wattage — 1000W or higher heats food evenly and quickly.
- Confirm over-the-range models fit above your stove and that you have proper venting.
- Ask about sensor cooking and preset options if you want one-touch convenience.
