Best Used Washers for Sale in Saskatoon This Month

A reliable washer is one of the most-used appliances in any Saskatoon home — and it's also one of the best values on the used market. Here's a breakdown of the most dependable used washers we typically see come through our showroom, by brand and by household fit.

Best Overall: Used LG & Samsung Front-Load Washers

LG and Samsung front-load washers are consistently some of the most reliable used machines we sell. They're high-efficiency, gentle on clothes, and large-capacity enough for families in Stonebridge, Evergreen, and Brighton. Look for models with 4.5–5.0 cu ft capacity and steam options.

Best Budget: Used Whirlpool & Maytag Top-Load Washers

Whirlpool and Maytag top-load washers are the workhorses of the used washer market. They're simple, durable, and inexpensive to repair. A tested used Whirlpool top-load washer can sell for a fraction of new-retail — perfect for rental properties in Sutherland or first homes in Riversdale.

Best for Apartments & Small Spaces

Compact used washers — typically 2.2–2.4 cu ft — work well for apartments, condos, and smaller Saskatoon homes. Look for used LG or Bosch compact front-loaders; they fit in tight laundry closets and use less water.

What to Check on a Used Washer

Before buying any used washer in Saskatoon, ask about:

• Spin cycle performance (loud or shaking can indicate bearing wear)
• Door seal condition (especially on front-loaders)
• Drain pump function
• Electronic control board operation
• Agitator or impeller wear

At SMS Appliances, every used washer is run through a full cycle, drained, and inspected before it reaches our floor — so you don't have to do the worrying yourself.
